Guided by the vision of Laten Mr. Alexander Mathew and the dedication of Managing Directors Mr Biju Alex Mathew and Mrs Susan Mathew, Sravana has grown into a centre known for excellence, empathy and modern care.
Today Sravana proudly houses:

. a Speech-Langauge pathology and Swallow Rehabilitation Department headed by Mrs.Mary Praisy.

Sravana Speech & Hearing Centre, established in Kottayam in 1995 by audiologist Susan Mathew, is a comprehensive clinic for speech and hearing disorders, offering diagnostics (like Pure Tone Audiometry, OAE), digital hearing aid fitting, speech therapy for children and adults (including autism, Aphasia), counseling, and preschool training, focusing on improving communication through expert care, modern equipment, and personalized attention across its multiple branches in Kerala.
The reception area at Sravana Speech and Hearing Clinic is designed to provide a friendly, comfortable, and professional atmosphere for patients and their families. It is part of the clinic's fully air-conditioned and systematically organized environment.
The Audiology Department of Sravana is dedicated to providing comprehensive hearing and balance care for people of all ages. The department offers accurate hearing assessments, advanced diagnostic services, and personalized hearing solutions using modern technology. With a patient-centered approach and experienced professionals, Sravana’s Audiology Department focuses on early identification, effective management, and long term support to improve communication and quality of life.
The Speech Language Department of Sravana provides evaluation and therapy services for individuals with speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties. The department supports children and adults through evidence-based therapy programs tailored to individual needs, with a strong focus on improving communication skills and overall quality of life.
COMDEALL at Sravana Speech & Hearing Centre is a structured, child-centred program designed for children with developmental delays and social communication problems and also for children with hearing loss. It focuses on early identification, detailed assessment, and systematic speech and language training, independent life skills and listening training. Through individualized therapy plans, parent counselling and continuous monitoring, COMDEALL at Sravana helps children achieve age- appropriate communication and better integration into mainstream education and daily life.
Articulation Therapy focuses on helping individuals correctly produce speech sounds and improve clarity of speech. It uses structured, step –by-step techniques to correct sound errors, strengthen speech muscles, and develop accurate pronunciation, thereby enhancing effective communication and confidence in daily interactions.
Voice Therapy helps individuals improve the quality, pitch, and strength of their voice by addressing voice disorders caused by misuse, strain, or medical conditions. Through specialized exercises and vocal hygiene techniques, voice therapy promotes healthy voice production, reduces strain, and supports clear and comfortable communication.
Stammering (also called Stuttering) involves interruptions in the flow of speech- such as repetitions, prolongations, or blocks-which can make speaking difficult or uncomfortable. Sravana’s speech language pathologists use evidence- based therapeutic approaches to help individuals manage these challenges.
SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY FOR NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS
Speech and Language Therapy for Neurological Disorders supports individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties resulting from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders. Therapy focuses on improving speech clarity, language comprehension, voice, cognition, and safe swallowing, helping patients regain functional communication and enhance independence and quality of life.

The 30th Anniversary Celebration of Sravana Speech & Hearing Centre was a heartfelt occasion that marked three decades of compassion, commitment and care. The event was graced by Shri Chandy Oommen as the Chief Guest, whose presence made the celebration even more special. As part of this milestone, 30 free hearing aids were gifted to children — symbolizing Sravana’s 30 years of dedicated service in helping individuals overcome hearing and speech challenges. The event also witnessed the inauguration of Sravana’s new Sensory Room, a major step toward enhancing therapy experiences for children with special needs. It was a day filled with joy, gratitude and renewed purpose — celebrating not just the past 30 years of changing lives, but also the promise of many more years of sound, smiles and hope ahead.
